Despite not achieving much on the racetrack, Alpine has been in the focus of all eyes on F1. And it is because of the rapid changes that their management team is going through. And even after giving it his all, Team Principal Otmar Szafnauer was betrayed by the Enstone outfit. While not a lot of team personnel have spoken about it, Pierre Gasly has finally done so with a heartwarming message.

2023 has been a gloomy year for Alpine. Still, it came as a shock for everybody when Szafnauer and the Sporting Director, Alan Permane, were axed from the team, effective after the Belgian GP. Even Pat Fry left the team to join Williams as their Technical Director. Szafnauer even slammed the team into not giving him enough time to change things. But on Sunday, the Frenchman couldn’t replicate his heroics at the main event. And it was because of a loss of power that kept him out of the points.

After finishing the race in P11, Gasly demanded accountability from the team. “We’ve got to check our engine because we were in a decent position, but then today we lost some power for some reason,” said Gasly, as quoted by Sky Sports. “[It] just made it impossible even with the DRS to even just get close. There are a few things which we need to analyze.”
