Mick Schumacher is now taking over as the king of team radio. After his famous “beep beep beep” radio in Sochi, the German brings another one for the books in Austin.

Mick affirmed the statement. “That’s right. Next year.”

As Haas is yet to score points this season, it’s unlikely that the remaining five rounds will change the team’s fate. Not quite the rookie season that Mick would’ve wanted, but the chicken dinner surely awaits the German next season.

Is Mick Schumacher right to hope for the 2022 season?

Thus, the development of the Haas for the next season has been a long time coming. Further, Mick Schumacher has had a comparatively good season compared to his teammate.

At the US GP, Mick Schumacher was a minute ahead of his teammate, Nikita Mazepin; the Russian being two minutes behind the race leaders. Thus, Mick has pushed the slow machine to its limits, solidifying his racecraft as a driver.

The season has had its highlights for the German, more recently, his Q2 appearance in Turkey. His performance has been a ray of hope for the American outfit. Team principal Guenther Steiner had shared his expectations.

“I was obviously happy for Mick that he got it done, but for the whole team because we’ve had very few on-track highlights, and having something like this assures you that we can do it–that we can execute when we get the opportunity.”
