Jagadish Vasudev, famously known as ‘Sadhguru’, primarily runs a non-profit organization named Isha Foundation, in India. However, what’s interesting is that the 63-year-old has always had a profound love for F1, and other similar racing series as well.

Amidst such interests in fast cars, the Indian yogi recently met with the rookie Haas driver, Nikita Mazepin, in Azerbaijan following the dramatic race weekend. Moreover, this isn’t necessarily the first time Sadhguru is meeting an F1 driver.

The Russian driver took to social media to reveal his meet-up with one of the most influential people around India and several other countries.

Mazepin posted an image of himself standing alongside Sadhguru, with a caption that read. “It was an honor to welcome Sadhguru.”

It was yet another weekend of disappointment for Haas and their struggling driver, Mazepin. The Russian found himself lapping significantly slower than his teammate, Mick Schumacher.

However, thanks to the timely safety car and the red flag, Mazepin was able to close down the gap to the cars ahead.

Nonetheless, the end result didn’t seem that poor as Mazepin finished in P14 ahead of Williams’ Nicholas Latifi and shockingly, the title contender, Lewis Hamilton, who made a massive blunder during the race restart.

This is a clear indication that Haas are desperately in need of the few extra tenths of a second to take their fight to Williams and maybe even Alfa Romeo.

Sadhguru’s moments with racing drivers including F1 world champion

Back in 2020, Sadhguru and former world champion, Nico Rosberg, enjoyed an interactive session during which the former opened up about the first time he met the German.

Sadhguru revealed that he was in Ferrari‘s paddock in Singapore in 2014, a race that witnessed Rosberg almost suffering his first DNS of the season due to an issue with the steering wheel.

Apart from F1, Sadhguru also met with a well-known American racing driver back in 2010. Chris Rado sat alongside Sadhguru in Toyota Scion, a car that possesses a power of almost 1000 hp, while the latter pushed the car to its limits around a circuit in LA.

Overall, it looks like Sadhguru’s interests in F1 are on an upward trajectory at the moment. Hence, will the Indian continue to show his presence in the F1 paddocks over the upcoming race weekends? Only time will tell.
