The Australian GP brought with itself some chaos that made it the most exciting race of the season so far. However, the race had three red flags which saw 8 drivers retire prematurely from the race. Among them was Pierre Gasly, who only bowed out in the final moments. Carrying the frustration to Azerbaijan, the Frenchman exposed his fellow drivers who exclusively form something they call “the losers club”.

Also part of the club is Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc. The Monegasque DNF’d on the race start when Lance Stroll tagged him and sent him into the gravel trap. Already going through a disappointing season, Leclerc recently released a melancholic instrumental song. After Pierre’s latest revelation, fans wonder if the club is the inspiration behind the song.

After a wait of 4 long weeks, F1 is finally back in action. We are in Baku, one of the most exciting street circuits on the calendar. Moreover, it is the first Sprint Race weekend that will have a new schedule with 2 separate qualifying sessions. One for the main race and the other for the sprint race. Before the action starts, drivers appeared for the pre-practice interviews. Among them was Gasly as well.

When asked to look back on the time he spent since the disappointing outing in Melbourne, Pierre answered, It was a very long flight back. We were at the back of the plane with, we call it “the losers club”. We were sitting down with Charles, with George [Russell], with Esteban [Ocon], with myself. I think a couple of drinks together and cried over a pretty difficult afternoon for all of us.”

While some fans were confused about whether to laugh at their situation, others wondered if the club was the inspiration behind AUS23 (1:1), the single Leclerc made his musical debut with.

One fan recommended they invited Alex Albon. The Williams driver crashed during the Grand Prix and caused the first red flags to come out.
