Belgium and the Netherlands share a 450 km-long international border with unrestricted access. This makes it easier for the Dutch fans to go to the other side and cheer on their countryman. Previously it was Max’s dad, Jos Verstappen, whom these Dutch fans would come to watch and encourage. But now, Verstappen Jr. is the nation’s flagbearer in motorsport. One can see the fans huddled in the grandstands, wearing a typical orange t-shirt with flags and banners in their hands.

It is a celebration in the stands exclusively for the Orange Army. They cheer every time a car passes. One could also hear them roar when Max Verstappen swoops in his Red Bull. They are engulfed by a sense of pride and who wouldn’t be proud of their homeboy dominating the pinnacle of motorsport? However, one doesn’t necessarily have to be a Dutchman to be a part of the Orange Army. Of course, you’d be surprised if such a criterion ever existed!

Being located between Turns 11 and 12, the Verstappen tribune doesn’t have an excellent view like in Eau Rouge and Raidillon. However, you can see the cars flat-out exiting Pouhon (Turn 11) and zooming into Les Fagnes (Turn 12). So if you’re at the Belgian GP to witness racing action, the Verstappen Grandstand won’t be the ideal spot. But if you want to feel the dedication of fans, then this would be the perfect place.

As the Dutch fans and the rest of the Orange Army swarm in at the Belgian GP, they want their favorite to win. However, this race could be a tricky one for Max Verstappen as he will be serving his engine penalty and starting from P11. No matter what the result is, these hardcore fans won’t waver from their dedication and support for the Dutchman who has been raising the bars of F1 for a long time.
