The SAG-AFTRA strike like many strikes is about compensation. Just after the Pension Reform Strike in France, the strike against studios to increase wages was started in the USA. Sources suggest that about 65000 Hollywood actors are on strike. As the wages have plummeted because of the streaming platforms as well as COVID, actors ask for a raise. This combined with the inflation over the previous years, has made things increasingly difficult for actors.
Brad Pitt was spotted at the Strike as he postponed the shooting of his F1-themed film. Olivia Wilde, who was featured in Rush, an F1 movie based on Niki Lauda and James Hunt’s rivalry, was also seen protesting. Joey King, Rosario Dawson, Jason Sudeikis, and Allison Janney are some others who were spotted with the protestors.
