Perez, on the other hand, deservedly so, made a move from Racing point to Red Bull. Now the question on everybody’s mind is who will be paired with Max for 2023? Helmut Marko has his say on the matter!
Sergio Perez or Pierre Gasly? Who will be Max’s partner in 2023?
The Red Bull advisor gave an update on the rumors surrounding the 2023 seat. Alongside Max Verstappen, of course. The Mexican is at his brilliant best in the current season for Red Bull. Two podiums and a P4 in the opening four races. In addition, he even earned his first-ever pole position at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix this year.
However, Pierre is constantly making his case after rejoining AlphaTauri. Improving over the years, the Frenchman is raising doubts over Perez’s future. And discussing the situation, Helmut Marko said, “I read the speculation but I have already said that we will take our time. We love Sergio, we don’t want to lose Pierre. By the summer break we will make our choice and we will see who will be Verstappen’s teammate in 2023.”

We can expect a conclusion on these speculations towards the end of this season’s summer break. It will definitely be a tough choice for Red Bull.
Helmut Marko would like to keep both the drivers as part of Red Bull
Marko suggested the desire to keep both the drivers and hopefully in their respective seats for at least another year. “Pierre is under contract with us until the end of 2023, so there is still time. But as always at Red Bull, it is about the performance of the drivers. Whoever deserves the seat the most will get it.” added Marko.
