One of the sponsors for the Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 team is Tommy Hilfiger. The brand has Lewis Hamilton as the ambassador and the 7x champion is often found in their drip. Recently Hamilton had an intimate interview with the founder of the brand where they asked each other questions about their lives. The conversation covered interesting topics like what the two would do if it were not in their respective fields.

After the 1 on 1 interview with Hilfiger, both Lewis Hamilton and George Russell were summoned for a game of Yay or Nay. The rules are simple, everything that a driver agrees with they respond with Yay, and Nay for things they don’t agree on. That being said, the two drivers found out the one habit that “America” has that gets under their skin. Let’s see what got them so riled up.

The Yay or Nay started off simple with the first thing they had to react to, being “Personalized car plates.” While Lewis Hamilton answered “Nay”, Russell gave a “Yay.” A similar pattern continued for the interview where the two drivers showed how different they are despite being British Mercedes drivers. The next thing they were asked was ‘socks and sandals’ to which Russell said Nay and Hamilton agreed. However, they gave the unified answer of Nay when they were asked about Pineapple on Pizza.

The next statement to react to was ‘parallel parking’ where the two drivers were confused as to what the host meant. Russell responded “Nay” as he explained that despite being a professional driver, he does not enjoy parallel parking. However, surprisingly the 7x world champion, who is touted to be one of the best drivers in the world also explained how it is difficult for him to parallel park. In the end.  this was all just a build-up to the main reaction.

When the host asked, “Milk first, then cereal?” all hell broke loose as the two drivers had a level of disgust on their faces. The two were appalled by people who put the cereal into a bowl of milk as the more popular way is cereal first. After both the drivers said “Nay” George Russell asked, “Who does that?” Adding to his statement, Russell said, “It’s like people who put milk in a cup of tea first. They put milk, tea bag and then hot water. That is a big NO!” Lewis Hamilton added to this by saying, “Who does that?”

On hearing this, Hamilton asked his teammate if he had seen someone make tea in that manner and Russell agreed. That’s what led Hamilton to say, “They clearly don’t know what making tea is about. Doesn’t happen in England. Surely, it’s definitely an American thing.” However, we did not get to learn as much about the drivers as we did from Hamilton’s Shanghai interview with Hilfiger. So let’s see what the Mercedes driver revealed in that interview.

During the weekend of the Shanghai Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton sat down with Tommy Hilfiger where they asked each other questions and had an insightful conversation. The talk moved towards what the two industry giants would be doing if it was not F1 for Hamilton and Clothing for Hilfiger.

That’s when both of them realized that they have a similar passion for filmmaking as Hamilton had the F1 movie coming out and Hilfiger mentioned working on one himself. That’s when the Mercedes driver said, “Oh, crazy! The first movie we’re doing is the one with Brad Pitt. Yeah, but my goal is definitely to tell stories that can move the needle, particularly from diverse backgrounds. That’s what I’m focusing on. I love movies and film, and that’s something I’m really excited about.”

As of now, there is no reveal as to what other films will Lewis Hamilton be working on. Considering his achievements in the sport, its only fair to expect an autobiography of the 7x world champion. The Tommy Hilfiger interviews are always fun and bring out more than the generic formats of journalism.

That being said, what are your thoughts on Hamilton making movies? Share your answer in the comments below.
