Being an F1 fan or a Sky Sports viewer, one must have seen her as a co-host on the show ‘Any Driven Monday’. To make it more clear, if one can recall, she’s the person who co-launched Mercedes AMG F1’s 2022 car, the W13, alongside Natalie Pinkham. Yes, we’re talking about Naomi Schiff. The very famous and popular female F1 presenter who took the F1 world by storm.

Naomi Schiff has come into the limelight recently after a series of trolls questioned Schiff’s ability to put down opinions on the sport. However, the Rwandan-German driver has received the needed support amidst all this from none other than Lewis Hamilton. Hamilton stated in an interview, “Naomi is an ex-professional racing driver & totally qualified to give her opinion as part of the Sky team”

Apart from being a presenter, Schiff is a talented racing driver and has raced in some of the most prominent racing series around the world, including the W Series. After some decent racing years, the 28-year-old has taken up the prestigious role at Sky Sports F1 in the UK.

Where did it all start for Naomi Schiff?

Schiff was born in Antwerp, Belgium in 1994. However, Schiff’s family moved to South Africa when she was very young and that’s where the brilliant presenter developed her love for motorsport. The current Sky Sports F1 presenter started her racing at the age of 16. This was, however, a late entry to the sport as compared to her co-drivers.

Despite starting late, this did not stop her from scaling great heights. As Schiff started with South Formula Volkswagen, she soon took herself to Asian Formula Renault, Ferrari Challenge Asia-Pacific, and a few other local as well as international leagues.

Naomi’s rise to the top

In 2013, the 28-year-old presenter completed one of his most successful stints, winning two races in a four-race competition at the Clio Cup China Series. This performance ensured a seat for Schiff at the 2014 competition, which she ended up winning.
Aside from this, the talented racing driver has also competed in GT4 European Series, 24 GT Series, 24 Hour at Nurburgring, and finally the W Series, which is the feeder series to Formula 1.
While Schiff might not have had the best racing career, it did not stop the young Rwandan-German from reaching the top. Without a doubt, she is one of the most notable women in F1 right now.
