Things have gone from bad to worse for Daniel Ricciardo in his new chapter at the McLaren. In the intense qualifying session at Baku, he crashed his car at turn 3 of the circuit during Q2.
Twitter understandably exploded after his crash. And while some were worried about him, others made fun of his drop in performance since joining the papaya team.
Not only Ricciardo’s made him retire but drivers such Sebastian Vettel 0f Aston Martin, Williams’s George Russell, French driver, Esteban Ocon and Kimi Raikkonen were knocked as the session got red-flagged in the final minutes

How will Daniel Ricciardo fair tomorrow?
Prior to this, during the practice session, Ricciardo managed to be the fifth fastest in FP1, 13th in FP2, and 10th in the final practice session of the day
During the qualifying rounds, Daniel managed to make it into Q2. However, in the last minutes of the session, Ricciardo found himself in the walls, which red-flagged the session.
Now, Ricciardo will use this time to reflect on his performance and hope for a better tomorrow. He will hope to learn from this and not repeat the same once the lights go out tomorrow for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.

The Australian will be looking to rub off the bad spells on his debut season with the team. He hopes to bounce back and get the results needed to boost his confidence.
Can Ricciardo recover his weekend at Baku by putting in a stellar performance on Sunday? We can only cross our fingers and hope for the best.
Adding to their problems is that Lando Norris got served a 3-place grid penalty for not following order during red flags. Hence the young Brit will see the lights from 9th on the grid instead of 6th.

The team currently sits in third place in the constructor’s championship with 80 points. They hope to hold on to that and maybe even earn some more from this weekend, depending on how Lando Norris and Ricciardo perform.
