McLaren driver Daniel Ricciardo suffered heartbreak in the qualifying of the Japanese GP as he missed out on Q3 by 0.003 seconds. As he races in the final few GPs of his tenure with McLaren, fans are unhappy to see the Australian possibly leave the F1 grid. Furthermore, the fans also assumed what was next for Daniel in F1.

Fans reacted to the possibility of watching the Australian for his last season on the grid. They shared their opinions on Twitter as they wondered what’s next for Daniel Ricciardo.

Meanwhile, some fans even begged teams to sign the Australian for the next year. One of them said“There will never be another Daniel Ricciardo”.

Meanwhile, others were sad to see both Ricciardo and Sebastian Vettel leave F1.

Daniel Ricciardo not rushing his future decision yet

McLaren driver Daniel Ricciardo is without a seat for next year. However, the Australian is not rushing to make a decision just yet. Speaking ahead of his race in Suzuka, Daniel said he has always been transparent so far.

Ricciardo said“It’s not as simple as just the first contract that comes in front of me, sign it, and yeah, I’m back on the grid. I’m not rushed about making a decision. It’s more just if I keep going with the rest of the season, the more it will become clearer what’s going to be best for me.”

With Pierre Gasly signing for the Alpine Racing team and AlphaTauri announcing the signing of Nyck de Vries, Ricciardo’s chances for a seat next year are getting extremely small. Furthermore, the 8-race winner has been tipped to take the Mercedes reserve spot for next year.

Daniel Ricciardo was perhaps the unfortunate victim in the McLaren-Alpine fiasco. It hasn’t been a great tenure for the Aussie driver at the Papaya team.
