One of the most controversial races in recent history was the 2021 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. It was the title-deciding race between Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton and Red Bull’s Max Verstappen.
It looked like Hamilton was going to take home his eighth world title. But, a contentious decision by the FIA turned the tables in the championship fight. The Brackley-based squad was furious with the governing body and protested the outcome of the race.

When will the FIA disclose the reports of the controversial Abu Dhabi GP?
The Formula One community is divided over the outcome of the final race of the 2021 season. With the FIA conducting an investigation as to what happened at the Yas Marina Circuit, fans will have to wait till the start of the season to read the report.
The findings from the Abu Dhabi GP are going to be made public not before the 18th of March, the first race weekend of the 2022 Formula One season.

What does the FIA boss have to say about Lewis’s future in F1?
There is a lot of speculation as to whether or not the 7-time world champion will return to the grid in 2022. However, the new FIA boss, Mohammed Ben Sulayem believes that the Knight will take part in the forthcoming season.

As quoted from Sky Sport, he said, “No, I don’t think he will [quit],” he told reporters. “I’ll ask your question, did Lewis declare that he’s not going to race? No. Exactly. Being a driver, you declare yourself, you don’t let the rumours [talk].”
“I’m confident that Lewis [will return]. Lewis is a big part of motorsport, and of course of Formula 1, the new era [can add to] Lewis’s wins and achievements, and also Verstappen is there. I am very confident that you will see a very challenging Formula 1 season next year.”
