Ever since its inception in 2011, Formula E has steadily risen in terms of popularity, innovation, and the number of races on the calendar. Now in 2022, FE will take place in 10 locations with 16 races across the globe.
And recently, the official Twitter page of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship posted a video to hype up the fans for the coming season.
The video features a driver who is leading the race but his car gets wrecked. Now this man is someone with the principles of “No Turning Back.” (The message at the end of the video)

So anyway, someone of this mindset, if he is unable to finish a race, what does he do?
Well, he turns into a Tom Cruise-like character and ‘races against time’ across buildings, streets, rooftops, and alleys in order to make it to the finish line. And he does make it to the finish line, on foot, in the most dramatic way possible.
New cities, new drivers, new rules.
Same relentless attitude. This is Season 8. No Turning Back.

I know the @fia has thrown out the rule book and all, but my god this is difficult to watch and not die inside. Who commissioned this as a serious advert for a serious motorsport.

Formula E aiming to tap into a big market
Recently, Formula E announced its ‘all but completed’ intent of holding a race in Hyderabad, one of the largest cities in India.
The Asian country is one of the biggest markets for motorsports, with millions of fans across its 28 states. But they haven’t witnessed any FIA sanctioned race since the Indian Grand Prix in 2013.
But ten years from then, in 2023, Hyderabad will all but surely be on the FE calendar.
“We are just announcing [Hyderabad] as a candidate city, but [it] is soon to be an official city in the calendar of Formula E,” said FE CEO Alberto Longo. “Let’s hope that that happens very soon and we can actually enjoy a race here in Hyderabad in the months to go. Hopefully, we will be here in the months of December 2022 and March of 2023.”

2023 will also be the year Formula E debut their next generation of cars. And the way things are going for the sport, it seems they’re only climbing up and up in terms of popularity.

However, they might need to take another look at their marketing, maybe.
