Lewis Hamilton is arguably one of the biggest celebrities that F has produced. Obviously, everything related to the Briton is a big deal, especially his cars, and even more so when it comes to his F1 challengers.

Recently, the seven-time world champion’s 2010 McLaren, with which he won the Turkish Grand Prix, was sold in an auction. The McLaren MP4-25A, which is powered by Mercedes-Benz’s 2.4-litre V8 engine, was auctioned for a whopping £4,836,000 ($6,600,000) after the inaugural sprint race at Silverstone.

RM Sotheby’s, a famous auction house, displayed the car in front of over 100,000 fans at Silverstone, which was, incidentally, the first-ever Lewis Hamilton car to be offered to the public.

Surprisingly, this was not the first time when an F1 car has come under a hammer, and it wasn’t the most expensive F1 car to be auctioned either.

In fact, let’s take a look at the most expensive F1 car ever to be auctioned.
