The now-former McLaren racer will replace Sebastian Vettel and race alongside Charles Leclerc while Vettel makes his way to Aston Martin.

The lineup for McLaren includes Daniel Ricciardo, the 2020 Renault driver. However, their deal with Lando Norris remains pact. They will compete as teammates in the 2021 season, eyeing the podium stand.

The two will race to earn the highest points for the constructors too. With the thunderous engines, the racers will have a plus point in the course.

Ricciardo sealed the deal with McLaren

The Australian, after a two-year stay in Renault, is swimming away to McLaren. Two years ago, Ricciardo turned down McLaren’s proposal and grabbed the Renault seat. However, with time narrowing down for the 30-year-old racer, he joined McLaren with conviction to clinch the World Championship.

The team boss of the British racing team, Zak Brown, had presented his proposal to Ricciardo after his striking performance in 2018. However, he joined Renault in aspiration to figure out his way and live a more posh life. Nevertheless, his plans slipped down to vein when he barely made his way to the podium stand.

With McLaren running on engines powered by the dominant brand, Mercedes, there are high hopes for the team to leap its way into the list of dominant constructors.

Zak Brown approached Ricciardo again for the season when he signed the deal with McLaren. He will be Lando Norris’ teammate, the Belgian-British racer. Lando will continue to race with car number four.

Brown remarked on the benefits of signing Ricciardo. He has substantial potential, talent, and adheres to structural strategies that will help the team move forward. Further, he has the speed and extreme competitiveness required to scurry his way to clinch the titles.
