De Vries stormed into the eyes of Formula 1 fans in last year’s Italian Grand Prix. Nyck de Vries was born on the 6th of February, 1995 in Sneek, Netherlands. Born to Dutch parents, Hendrik Jan de Vries, a prominent car dealer, and Naomi Hesseling, de Vries rose up the ranks of the motoring world with McLaren’s young driver program. Naturally, in 2023, he will race under the Dutch flag with the number ’21’ as his personal racing number.
De Vries lives in the principality of Monaco, which is not unusual for F1 drivers and hopefuls. Apart from racing, though, the Dutch driver enjoys his downtime by indulging in his hobbies of playing the piano, a few rounds of tennis, and skiing.
