Given that Gasly may as well be on the move to Alpine next year, Red Bull has taken a calculated decision. It was announced earlier today that Yuki Tsunoda’s contract with AlphaTauri has been extended till the end of 2023.

Daniel Ricciardo has also been in contention for a reserve driver seat at Mercedes. This makes sense in light of De Vries potentially swapping alliances with Red Bull. It would seem as though Mercedes is also on the lookout for a reserve driver replacement.
