Max Verstappen and Lando Norris are the most ‘bro-mantic’ pair on the F1 grid right now. They have shared the podium in the last 2 races and look very happy for each other. But on the Hungary podium, Norris accidentally broke Verstappen’s trophy. Later, on Instagram, he did apologize to the 2-time champion. But his apology drew a rather weird response from Verstappen’s GF Kelly Piquet that no one has been able to decipher.

Lando Norris’ unique champagne celebration is a delight to witness. One slam on the podium and the champagne sprays out like a natural geyser. He did it after getting P2 at Silverstone. And he’s done it again in Budapest after replicating his success with a glorious P2 on a slower Hungarian track. But this time around, he used the P1 podium floor to do his trick. Unfortunately for Verstappen, his P1 trophy was too close to the edge of the podium. As soon as Norris’ champagne bottle hit the podium, Verstappen’s trophy tumbled onto the floor and broke into two.

In the moment, the Briton ignored the broken trophy and continued to celebrate. When the Dutchman noticed it, all he did was laugh and brushed it off. Even in a couple of post-race interviews, all they did was laugh about it instead of making it a serious topic of discussion. After the race, Verstappen posted the photos of him on the podium with the trophy and captioned it: “Thanks @landonorris 🏆😉”. Norris apologized in the comments section, but Piquet’s reply to his comment has left fans absolutely baffled.

Usually, there is someone on the internet who will have an explanation of any given happening on social media. But no one seems to know the motive behind this particular comment.

Kelly Piquet’s daughter, Penelope, turns 4 on the 27th of July. And since both drivers would be busy on that day with the Belgian GP preparations, they might have decided to celebrate earlier.
