Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc share a love for the sport of ‘Padel Tennis’. However, they are not alone in this endeavor. Apparently, they have this in common with the likes of Messi, Beckham, Nadal, and Murray.
When the Spaniard renewed his contract with Ferrari earlier this we, we saw a Twitter post from Leclerc that read, “2 more years of Padel, golf, chess & a bit of racing with Mr. Sainz ! Let’s goo !!”

It should not come as a surprise then that the two of them get along so well. And this relationship has been very beneficial for the Scuderia.
For Carlos Sainz, however, Padel Tennis is much more than a hobby, or a chance to bond with his teammate at Maranello. According to the 28-year-old, Padel Tennis is much more integral to his performances on track than we would expect.
Carlos Sainz explains how Padel Tennis helps him excel with Ferrari in Formula 1
Carlos Sainz undoubtedly has a great racing pedigree. However, that alone cannot sustain his performance in the sport. Sainz has realized this and thus chooses to focus his efforts on one of his favorite sports; Padel Tennis. He explains why.
In a YouTube video, before going against his dad, Sainz said, “I’ve been starting to play a lot to help prepare for Formula 1.”

He went on to explain why Padel Tennis helps him, “I like working on my reflexes, thinking fast, under pressure.”
However, he admits that he is still not at the level of his father Carlos Sainz Sr., “I’m kind of frustrated because my father still beats me pretty good.”.
