“Did he ever have a choice? Did he ever want to really become a race car driver or is it his father’s dream?” said Jacques Villeneuve ahead of the Canadian GP lashing out at Lance Stroll. However, the Stroll-shaming brigade didn’t end there as a key player in F1 racing made a blunder that drew ridicule towards the Canadian driver and his father. Take a look at what exactly happened.
For context, Lance achieved his first podium finish, a 3rd place, at the 2017 Azerbaijan Grand Prix, becoming the second-youngest driver to finish an F1 race on the podium and the youngest to do so during his rookie season. He scored 2 more podiums thereafter. To add to the tally, he took his first pole position at the 2020 Turkish Grand Prix. $6.5 billion worth, Pirelli is the rubber supplier of F1 and they award pole position awards to whoever blazes the track in the least possible time on Saturday. The Giants decided to pay tribute to the “least regarded” home hero Lance Stroll but made a sleepy blunder.

The admin tweeted a picture of Lance with the caption, “Lance Stroll is one of the least-regarded local hero drivers in #F1, yet with his three victories and 151 Grand Prix races he has proven that he deserves his place in @F1.” It soon caught fans’ attention that there have been no victories, let alone three of them. Fans didn’t take the blunder lightly.
“How much [did] daddy pay you for this post?”: Fam left fuming as they smell fishy PR act by Lance Stroll’s father Lawrence
The Admin was quick to correct their mistake by stating, “Admin was suffering from jet lag with the Canadian time zone. We meant 3 podiums.” The blame on jet lag wasn’t accepted by the fans. Billionaire Lawrence Stroll, who bought a team in which his son races, was recently accused of imposing his dream on his son, and was now being held in the media trial for another nepotistic favor. This time it was paid publicity.
One user called out the Pirelli Motorsports admin, saying it wasn’t the jet lag.
That wasn’t jet lag. That was a completely different dimension!!😂

Others weren’t as coy as they began calling out Daddy Stroll’s role in the said tweet.
Admin was just sucking up do daddy Stroll. What a disgrace

One user outrightly asked the admin a very blunt question.
How much daddy pay you for this post?
— Phillip Whitaker (@Philyorkshire) June 8, 2024
Another declared the ‘real’ reason wasn’t jet lag suffering but something else entirely.
Admin was suffering from the payments of daddy Stroll?

The tweet or the explanation wasn’t met with open arms, rather the opposite.
We don’t care. How many euros did you guys receive from Lawrence stroll?
