How many people do you know who end up with their first love? Well, Lando Norris did. He fell in love with the “cool” team and the unfolding rivalry between Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso. And fast forward to a little over a decade later, he ended up driving for the team. While the young Briton has always had senior drivers paired up with him, this is the first time he has a younger teammate to fully lead. But being bitter with the sluggish progress, he doesn’t have great words to add.
McLaren has been having the worst outing possible. Probably the second worst if we take into account their Honda days, but bad, nevertheless. And Lando Norris, who is usually a quirky goofy guy, has been coming hard at the team with his very public feedback.

Piastri, who is going to Monaco for the first time as an F1 driver, has a more polished take on the whole situation. He believes that the MCL60 is significantly better in cooler temperatures and is hopeful as he intends to catch on to the rhythm to do his best.

Oscar said, “A bit off the pace, but I think it’s just about putting it together. Especially around here with all the low-speed corners. You have a little bit here and there and it can add up very quickly. So we’ll work on it overnight, see what I can do better. I think you’ve got to get yourself into a rhythm, which I don’t think I’ve really got myself into yet. From FP1, I improved on the areas I needed to. Now it’s just catching up a bit in the rest of the places. So, I’m confident we can make a good step tomorrow.”
