Michael Schumacher was the youngest member of his karting club at Kerpen-Horrem track. Needless to say, the seven-time world champion was dominating the grid even when he was a child. In an episode of the Late Brake Show, the BTCC legend, Jason Plato looked back at his karting days with Schumacher.
Jason Plato is a legendary British Touring Car Championship driver and holds the record of most overall wins. He used to kart with Michael Schumacher when they were kids and remembers, to this day, how impressive the Geman was.
While speaking about their memories together, he shared a hilarious anecdote of Schumacher ripping his trousers off.

The story begins at a private party after the nation’s cup, and Jason was at the bar with Andy Priaulx. “Mate, watch him. He’s got a look in his eye. I’ve seen this before. Watch him,” Jason recalled Andy’s words.
“Then out of nowhere, he crept up behind me, put his hands in one movement in the back of my pocket, and then goes woah and your whole back of your leg just flies off. So you’re left with a chap, with one chap,” he narrated the story the story.
“This is Michael Schumacher?” asked the interviewer in complete disbelief. “Yeah, yeah,” replied Jason.

The BTCC legend went on to complete the story as he and the interviewer were in splits after imagining Schumacher’s shenanigans. A story where Michael’s acts led to everyone in the party ripping each other’s clothes off.
“I then tried to rip his clothes and we ended up fighting on the floor,” continued Jason. “I ripped his shirt’s sleeve off and then he’s got my trouser leg and he’s literally tied it around his head like Rambo and laughing.

He then shared a picture of the torn jeans and said some really kind words about the Ferrari champion and his attitude towards life. The interviewer could not believe this was Schumacher as we got an incredible view of the Formula 1 legend’s personal life.
