Christian Horner Holds a Firm Belief on Team Being Under Budget Cap

After Singapore Grand Prix last week, Christian Horner reiterated about his belief that the team was well within the budget cap. Dismissing all the theories around the overrun of the budget cap, Horner calls it ‘rubbish’.

He said, “No, I mean, I’m absolutely confident in our submission,” he said. “It went in in March, in terms of [being] signed off fully by our auditors who are obviously one of the big three. And we believe that we are comfortably within the cap.”

Talking to Motorsports.com, The Red Bull boss has described some of Wolff’s remarks as defamatory and threatened to take legal action.

He said, “We will consider all of our options. It was totally unacceptable to make a completely unfounded allegation and on the basis of what knowledge? Where is this source of information?”

“It was a confidential submission between the team and the FIA.”
