Lewis Hamilton fought tooth and nail with Max Verstappen in 2021 for a record-breaking 8th F1 World Driver’s Championship. Going into the last race of the season, both of them were on equal points. But in controversial circumstances, the 7x Champion lost out to Max Verstappen.

You couldn’t blame Hamilton if he chose to hold on to the whole incident. That being said, Red Bull advisor Dr. Helmut Marko thinks otherwise. According to him, it’s time Hamilton stopped harping on the matter and moved on.

Recently, Hamilton once again commented that the Championship finale last year was rigged. As a reply, Marko told Sky Sports Germany, “Well, I don’t understand that at all. The race director decided. The fact that two cars were not unlapped would not have made any difference.”

We are looking forward. The championship has been decided. We cannot keep bringing up this subject.”

While talking to Sky Sports’ Ted Kravitz, he said, “I remember when I first got to the sport and your target is the guy that has the most championships. It was Fernando (Alonso), then it was Kimi (Raikkonen), because Kimi was one of the best drivers here, and then it was Seb (Vettel), so I think it’s natural.”
