Sergio Perez currently has his own documentary series ‘Checo’ on the platform StarPlus. There, he revealed his partnership with Marvel, who have just now released the movie Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Owing to the collaboration with Marvel, Checo will sport a Black Panther-inspired helmet this weekend in Brazil.

Perez recently posted some photos of the helmet in matte gray with the Black Panther logo on his Twitter. In the post’s caption, he wrote, “My helmet for the next race, your thoughts? Hope we can be as fast as Black Panther.” Ahead of the Brazilian GP, the Mexican driver revealed his thoughts on the helmet and why it is special to him.

In a press conference ahead of the Brazilian Grand Prix, Checo said, It’s nice we’re doing a collaboration with Disney for the Black Panther movie which represents a lot of my country. The helmet itself is unique and I really really liked it.”

Perez is not the only driver to sport a special helmet this season. Sebastian Vettel, who will retire from the sport after the season ends, invited fans to have their designs printed on his helmet for the final race.

He will auction the spaces on his helmet, and the proceeds from which will go to a special cause. In his Instagram post, Vettel said, “100 percent of the proceeds will go to a good cause and a project close to my heart.”

Ever since his win in the Singapore GP, Perez’s form has seen a slump. In the last three races, he finished P2, P4, and P3, respectively. He will certainly look to regain the lost form and keep the runners-up position in the drivers’ standings.

Speaking during the press conference, he spoke, We just want to keep the momentum going. In Mexico, we had too many issues on the weekend. I thought a much better result was in the cart. So hopefully can be a clean weekend with no issues and we can show our true pace we’ve had for the last few races.”
