

It’s a bird? It’s a plane? Well, it’s not Superman! F1 returns after the summer break for the Belgian Grand Prix and there is already a lot to talk about. The fans in attendance for the qualifying and Saturday practice session witnessed quite a spectacle.

One person overshadowed the sport that produces the most advanced and futuristic cars in the world in the most tremendous way possible. Apart from Max Verstappen absolutely flying in his RB18 on the track, there was another person, head and shoulders above him. We mean that literally!
A person flew over Spa-Francorchamps track as the cars were out on the track. Safe to assume the flying person on a jetpack caught everyone’s attention. People are roughly estimating the person’s speed on the jetpack at around 125 mph.

That’s a pretty fast person on an awfully powerful set of jets. By the looks of it, the incredible machinery seemed extremely compact and even practical for some.
We’re in 2022 and there are still no signs of flying as a mode of transport. However, the ride over Spa on the jetpack by this person might have given the attendees a glimpse into the future.

The pinnacle of motorsport encourages innovation year after year to make the sport more sustainable. However, the actions of this person overshadowed all the years of hard work.

Everyone expected the Green Goblin references as well. However, the innovation behind the jetpack cannot be understated, and this incident showcases the leaps we as humans are taking in terms of technological advancements.
