Formula One in 2021 produced one of the intense rivalries and racing. Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton were at the heart of it, as the Dutchman won the championship by the closest of margins.

Verstappen has a massive following in his home country. The fans have come up with plenty of chants for Verstappen, but a song from the band ‘Pit Stop Boys’ became viral, and now they have one for Lando Norris as well.

How Did the Pit Stop Boys Become Popular?

Rob Toonen, Marco Mars, and Jeroen Hilgenberg started the band Pit Stop Boys in 2016. They were excited to see a young Dutchman start his journey in Formula One. And the song named ‘Supermax’ was released 5 years ago when Verstappen won his maiden Grand Prix in Barcelona.

They admitted that ‘Supermax’ song did not have the reach they expected. However, McLaren driver Lando Norris, known for his antics on twitch, streamed the song. As a result, the song became viral all over the world and the fans even chanted it during the Dutch Grand Prix last year.

During the last race of 2021, Verstappen and Hamilton were level on points in the race for the World Championship. And the Pit stop boys were back again as they composed another song to support Verstappen. This time the song was titled ‘Yo He, Yo Ho’, and once again Lando Norris did not miss an opportunity to stream it on twitch.

Thanks to Norris’ stream, the song has become very popular across the world. Now the Pit Stop Boys have decided to pay back the British driver with a song for him. They have released a preview of it on social Instagram.

What Does This Season Have in the Store for Norris?

Lando Norris had an impressive 2021 season. Although he tailed off towards the end of the season, the young British driver earned plaudits for his performances. He outpaced his teammate Daniel Ricciardo and ended up on the podium thrice.

The 22-year-old also finished first on the timesheet on the first day of the Barcelona testing. McLaren will hope Norris can deliver them to a top 3 finish in the Constructors’ Championship this season.

Ahead of the testing in Bahrain, Norris gave his thoughts on the new season. He said, “I look forward to the high-speed circuits which we’ll be going to. That’s obviously the type of corners where you tend not to be able to follow so much over the last few years.”

He also conveyed that the grid will be closer this season, and he is excited to race again.
