There is a lot of buzz surrounding Sergio Perez’s impending arrival at Red Bull since they announced their lineup for 2021. Though we are still a long way off from on-track action, teams get to work in January to prepare for the season. And it looks like Perez is on his first assignment with the team.
The Austrian outfit’s Twitter handle gave a sneak peek of the Mexican driver in one of their offices.

Though the PR team has smartly blurred the video, it looks like Sergio Perez chatting with team principal Christian Horner. The video also has the text ‘We have a visitor’ all over the screen.
But it was not the only thinly veiled hint they gave throughout the day. In a separate tweet, they show him taking what looks like a tour of the facility. To put the icing on the cake, they cheekily asked their fanbase to guess the person in question.

And to really give close out this sequence of tweets, they taped him having a seat fit of the car. As if we needed any more vindication that it is indeed Perez!

Red Bull boss Horner had kept a close eye on Sergio Perez
Many in the F1 community believe that his best attribute as a racer was his strength on Sundays rather than the qualifying on Saturday. His new team boss Christian Horner also attests to that.
“In his first year in GP2, he was always stronger in races than in qualifying. He had the determination to never give up. Sergio was like a young dog with a bone. I think that has become his trademark in terms of racing.”

The fanfare surrounding his Red Bull signing is still fresh. However, it’ll get real for him when the lights go out in Bahrain on March 28; he will have to face the herculean task of keeping up with Max Verstappen.
