Sebastian Vettel could have got some flashbacks from this season’s Bahrain Grand Prix if he crashed into Alpine’s Esteban Ocon at Imola. The French driver was rejoining the pack, but could have been hit from behind by the four-time world champion. However, Vettel managed to keep it under control and ensure there was enough room.
Vettel has learned from his mistakes in Bahrain when he crashed into Ocon on the track. That collision gave him a 10-second penalty to an already disappointing race. Hence Vettel made sure that history didn’t repeat itself at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix.
The German didn’t have the best of races yet again with his second outing with the team. Before the lights went out, Vettel had brake issues and later in the race had to retire because of gearbox issues.
