Sebastian Vettel will debut a new helmet design at the Turkish Grand Prix. The Aston Martin driver has been wearing a pink helmet throughout the year which addresses environmental concerns. The new helmet is also related to him addressing another critical environmental concern.

Vettel previously used to have a white helmet with the german flag strip across it. But since he has joined Aston Martin at the start of the 2021 season, he has a pink helmet because of one of the team’s main sponsors, BWT.

The Aston Martin driver debuts a new helmet at Turkey GP

The 4-time world champion has been quite active in raising his voice around environmental concerns. In his latest endeavor, he is raising awareness towards the noble cause of ocean conversation.

The Aston Martin Cognizant F1 team took to social media to present the new helmet design to the world.

BWT had previously been the title sponsor of the team and is a company that is based on educating people towards water conversation. “Change the world, sip by sip.” is the company’s motto which is also on the rear of Vettel’s helmet. The message focused on bringing the attention of people towards CO2 emissions caused by the transport and use of disposable plastic bottles.

Vettel is very passionate about environmental issues and was spotted many times in F1 doing his bit to make his voice heard. He was seen building a bee house and also picking up litter from the grandstands in Silverstone. Not to mention, he has arrived on the paddock on a bicycle on many different occasions throughout his career.

“The future is important and we must do our best to protect the planet for children and young people. We all share this responsibility and if we come together, we can make a difference,” said Vettel.

As a Formula 1 driver, I think it’s right to speak up on this subject and have my voice heard. I am pleased to have found a partner in BWT that shares the same perspective and goals.

Other than supporting an important cause, the helmet looks very nice and can be spotted instantly in the paddock.
