The Monaco curse does not seem to end for the hometown hero Charles Leclerc. The Ferrari driver before yesterday had not completed any competitive race in the Principality because of some issue or the other. The 2022 Monaco Grand Prix was no different; despite finishing the race in P4, Leclerc can feel that Ferrari threw away a win when they messed up their strategies.

Leclerc looked distraught after the race and was searching to find the answers to his issues. After the race, his disappointed face was evident for everyone to see. That is when his former Ferrari teammate and 4-time world champion Sebastian Vettel stepped in to provide him support.

Sebastian Vettel provides support to Charles Leclerc after his dismal Monaco GP

Despite the tough time together in Ferrari in 2019 and 2020, Charles Leclerc and Sebastian Vettel share a good relationship. Leclerc regards the 4-time world champion as an older brother to him and stated that he learned a lot from him as a driver and as a person.

“With Seb, it was a little bit of a different relationship. I saw him a little bit more like an older brother. I mean, he had so much experience that it was different. It was not the same type of competition that I had with Seb as what I have with Carlos,” said Leclerc.

So it was not a surprise to see Vettel coming forward to show some support to the Monegasque. The German knows what it is like to lose a home race in a Ferrari while dominating the entire weekend.
