The tension between the fans of Red Bull and rival teams has been on the boil lately since the cost cap report was released by the FIA. As if the 2021 championship title controversy wasn’t enough, the latest development angered rival fans even more. Social media is more divided than ever before and sometimes the name-calling escalates to straight-up abuse.

Max Verstappen once again showcased the dominance he and Red Bull have carried throughout the season. Apart from the brief competition from the two Mercedes drivers in the first corner, the Dutchman faced no resistance throughout the race. Both RB drivers started on the soft tires, while the Mercedes duo started on mediums. Mercedes counted on the one-stop tire strategy where they would go with the hard compound. Because RBs started on softs, Mercedes expected they would go for a two-stop strategy.
