WATCH: Pierre Gasly Offers Unique POV As He Takes His 2022 F1 Challenger for a Spin

Pierre Gasly was seen in action recently. The Frenchman took his new Alpha Tauri for a spin at Misano. The Alpha Tauri AT03 hit the Italian track for the first time down the road from the factory.

AlphaTauri introduced their brand new AT03 Challenger for the 2022 season. In addition to this, it is the first time the team has presented the footcam. A whole new series of footage that showed Footwork finesse of the driver and the nose of the car.

As seen from the video on YouTube, Pierre is seen taking his AlphaTauri for a tour. The former Red Bull driver takes the car for its first-ever lap at the track at Misano. This was taken right before the team went for their testing in Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in Barcelona, Spain.

What’s in the cards for Pierre Gasly and AlphaTauri this season?

As the new season dawns, AlphaTauri is confident to take their battle to a whole new level. The Italian team finished at P6 last season. 13 points behind their main rival Alpine, who were P5. However, the Faenza-based team is hopeful to take that P5 from their main rival in the upcoming season.

Pierre, on the other hand, hardly failed to impress the fans during the 2021 season. In his AlphaTauri, the 26-year-old reached Q3 on multiple occasions during the qualifying sessions last year. Alongside this, he also put up a few good fights on Sundays, carrying his team on his back for most of the 22 races last year.

As a result, the AlphaTauri star driver picked up 110 points. He finished in P9, just 5 points behind P8 Daniel Ricciardo and way above two times world champion Fernando Alonso who was at P10.

With the new season coming up in a few weeks, there will be quite a lot of eyes on Pierre. The fans will look forward to yet another strong season from the Frenchman. Even WTCC racer Tim Coronel expressed his liking towards Gasly and preferred him as the Red Bull driver over Sergio Perez.

Hence, it’ll be interesting to see if Gasly can prove his potential this year as well. Only time will tell.
