The Dutch Grand Prix is underway, with the First Practice session kicking things off. However, the session has had its fair share of incidents one of them being between Lando Norris and Esteban Ocon.

As the French driver was zipping around Zandvoort, a Red Bull was behind him. Ocon moved out of the way but didn’t realize the McLaren driver was there as well. Thankfully, both Ocon and Norris narrowly avoided each other, but Norris was quite unhappy with the incident.

All twenty drivers are still getting used to the Dutch track, and still finding their way around. Hence, it could be tricky for drivers to navigate around Zandvoort.

With it being a new track on the F1 calendar, it has its share of problems. Ocon was driving down the straight, and made for a Red Bull to get by. Little did he know that Norris was coming down the straight, and nearly collided with him, but fortunately it didn’t it send the McLaren driver onto the grass.

He said on the team radio, “What is this guy doing? He just pushed me off the track.”

How did Norris fair in the session?

The 21-year-old wanted to redeem himself at Zandvoort and set out with the mindset of having a good lap time. However, it hasn’t quite gone to his liking as he currently finds himself in eleventh place on the timesheet.

But, Norris knows another opportunity presents itself later in the evening in FP2. The McLaren driver will be hoping to learn from his mistakes from FP1, and improve in the next session.
