The 2021 Azerbaijan Grand Prix was full of intense moments and drama. There were several race-ending crashes, and Haas drivers Nikita Mazepin and Mick Schumacher could have been two more victims of a high-speed crash at the street circuit.
In the dying laps of the race, Schumi Jr was trying to overtake the Russian, which almost resulted in a crash between the two. Safe to say, this enraged the former, and he expressed his dissatisfaction on the team radio.
Ultimately, though, the overtake was successful as Schumacher Jr cross the line in 13th place ahead of Mazepin who came 14th. Yet again, the two Haas drivers failed to score any points from this weekend.

Mick Schumacher has strong words for Mazepin during the closing laps
After a heated on-track tussle with his teammate, Schumacher Jr came on the team radio and said, “What the f**k was that? Honestly? Seriously? Does he want to kill us?”
His race engineer tried to calm him and said, “Understood Mick understood. Checkered flag, Checkered flag. Yeah, yeah understood Mick. It’s been observed. Everyone is aware.”

Team boss, Steiner sees the result as an improvement
The American team mostly see the checkered flag from the back of the grid. However, after Max Verstappen’s crash brought out a red flag and Lewis Hamilton made a costly mistake post the standing restart, Schumacher and Mazepin finished P13 and P14, respectively, ahead of the seven-time world champion and Nicholas Latifi.
Whatever the reason might be, team principal Guenther Steiner is pleased with how they finished in Baku.

Steiner said, “In the end, we had our best result of the year, which I’m very happy about for everybody. For where we are at the moment it’s very difficult to get this result. Everybody worked really hard and just due to that, it happened.”
After the sixth round of the championship at Azerbaijan, Haas still sit in ninth place in the constructor’s standing with zero points to their name. They would see this result as an improvement and learn from it, aiming for a similar result at the next race in France.
