F1 drivers in general are some of the most competitive individuals on the planet. Their winning desire has always been there since their days as a kid. One such super-competitive driver is Red Bull’s Max Verstappen.

The Dutchman has always been this way ever since his younger days as a child.
Verstappen competitive streak
Max Verstappen is one of the most successful drivers on the current grid. He has had the will to succeed ever since he was a kid playing video games. Recently a clip of the Dutchman has been going viral, where he can be seen reacting to his younger self.
In the clip, a young Verstappen can be seen playing an older edition of the F1 game. Verstappen can be seen raging after sliding into the gravel, “ah now he slides into the gravel.”

The host of the show can be seen joking, “it was already like that back then.” commenting on Verstappen’s competitive streak even as a kid. However, it is Max’s competitive nature that has led him to win a world driver’s title with Red Bull in 2021.
Max Verstappen in 2022
Verstappen is having a difficult start to his 2022 season. He has experienced a mixed bag of results so far. The season opener in Bahrain saw him retire due to technical issues. The second race in Jeddah saw him sneak ahead of Charles Leclerc to snatch the race win away from the Monegasque.
However, the last race in Australia once again saw him retire with technical difficulties. This has majorly hampered his title defense run as he did not collect any points from the two races he was forced to retire from.

With Charles Leclerc finishing first in Australia, he now has a 46 point lead over Verstappen. The latter currently sits P6 in the driver’s standings with just 25 points. His teammate Sergio Perez is currently P4 in the standings with 30 points.

F1 now travels to Europe for the next set of races starting with the Emiliano Romagna GP in Italy. There have been reports suggesting that multiple teams will be bringing upgrades to the race to shake up the rankings.
