The two got together to play ‘This or That’ for a segment called ‘In The Know’ with Yahoo! The two racers were asked fun questions that had them choose between options over topics like American sports, their preference over East Coast or West, and who they would befriend between Kevin Hart and Mike Tyson.
During the game, Checo got to ask Max if he’d prefer ‘Shake Shack’ or ‘In & Out’, as he began to grin right after. Instantly, Max picked In & Out. The straight-faced Dutch Lion looked over at his teammate and his innocence was washed away with loud, unending laughter that the two shared.
When asked why, Max answered, “Because I like it more. I just do. Because it tastes-I just, I mean, they’re both nice, but if I had to choose one of the two, In & Out. In or Out.”

Even though the two may consistently pick on each other, they do think very highly of the other.
Max Verstappen believes that Sergio Perez is the ultimate teammate
Growing up in the F1 paddock from his teenage years, Max Verstappen has previously partnered with Daniel Ricciardo, Carlos Sainz, Pierre Gasly, and Alex Albon before Sergio Perez. And amongst them all, Max believes that Sergio has by far been his ‘best’ teammate in history.
As quoted by Express, Max said, “I started of course very young in Formula 1 and I had, I think, also a very good relationship with Daniel.”
Even though Max fondly thinks of his time partnering with Ricciardo, he exclaims that he was only a teenager back then. He, now, is a completely different person.

“So I would say what I have now with Checo is definitely the best, just because I matured a lot, and I think that also helps a lot with just how you approach each other.”
Furthermore, he added, “We work really well as a team. We always try to optimize the car and work for the team and we can accept when someone does a good job or does a better job and I think that’s very important because that’s how you are respectful to each other.”

Checo agrees with Max as well. As he too claims that there is no jealousy between the two. Checo stated, “I think within us, when I win, when Max wins, there is always we feel proud for each other and that I think is something good within us.”
Looking forward to the race today, we’ll have to see if their bond seals in the constructors’ title for the season.
