Charles Leclerc triumphed in Bahrain as Ferrari sealed a one-two at the Bahrain Grand Prix of Formula One’s new era. Leclerc secured his third career win with teammate Carlos Sainz in second and Lewis Hamilton taking a shock third on the last lap. Formula 1 moves to Saudi Arabia on the 27th of March.

 

Meanwhile, the grind does not stop for Lewis Hamilton. The Seven-Time World Champion has pitted in Dubai ahead of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. He will look to re-energize ahead of an important week as Mercedes looks to build on their solid start.

Hamilton Recharges in Dubai

Lewis Hamilton finished on an unlikely podium in Bahrain Grand Prix. The Red Bull cars had fuel issues and were forced to retire, adding to his joy. This time, the Seven-Time World Champion faces a well-known challenger in Ferrari. And as F1 resets, Hamilton is recharging his battery in Dubai.

He shared a story on Instagram of himself running in the streets of Dubai as he tries to return to optimal condition. However, it can be said that Hamilton does not enjoy mid-day runs in the hot weather of Dubai. The caption to the story read, “An hour in the sun here in Dubai midday is no fun but trying to burn this fat off.”

Mercedes is still struggling with issues in the car. Their performance was far from what Toto Wolff and Co would have expected, but they will be happy with the results in Bahrain. Hamilton revealed that the start satisfied the Silver Arrows. He said, “This is really the best result we could have got. Whilst we’re currently not necessarily performance-wise fighting with these guys, this is not damage limitations but just a really, really great result.”
