Lewis Hamilton is a seven-time Formula One World Champion, one of Formula 1’s most successful drivers of all time, and a global superstar. Being competitive and fighting hard on the track is one thing, but his kindness and desire to help those in need differentiate him from the rest.

He’s managed to spread kindness once again. Despite going through a tough start in 2022, Hamilton and Mercedes took time out to deliver some Mercedes merchandise to a young fan, Charlie. He is a die-hard Lewis Hamilton fan by the looks of it and his mother appreciated the gesture by the Silver Arrows on Twitter.

It did not go unnoticed as the 37-year-old retweeted the tweet. Young Charlie was clearly delighted with the wheelchair’s design and Hamilton’s response.

Well, Mercedes and Lewis went one step forward, this time around. They sent him some Silver Arrows merchandise signed by Hamilton himself. Charlie’s mother recorded a video of an ecstatic Charlie who said, “Thank you, Lewis, appreciate it. Don’t worry about your 8th title,” before screaming in joy.

It is certainly touching, to say the least. In some ways, it is inspiring as well. The 37-year-old will take encouragement from Charlie, without a doubt. After a disappointing start to the season, the Briton will rely on the support he receives from his fans.

On the track, Mercedes’ start has been dismal. The W-13 has suffered porpoising issues and is struggling to match the pace of Red Bull and Ferrari. On Saturday, Hamilton finished P14 in the sprint race and as a result, he admitted the hopes of the championship are slipping away.

He said, “We’re obviously not fighting for this championship. But we’re fighting to understand the car and improve and progress through the year. That’s all we can hope for right now.”
