The much-awaited video game, FIFA 22, mastered by EA Sports, is all set to hit the market. And prior to the official arrival, there have been sneak peeks and gameplay showing up on social media. Interestingly, two of the biggest names in sports have made cameos during the game’s intro; one of them being Lewis Hamilton.
The 7-time world champion, along with heavyweight boxing champion, Anthony Joshua, made a rather unnoticed appearance in FIFA 22.

Volta, a mode where a user can play street soccer called Volta football, made its debut in 2020. And in the past couple of editions, there were hardly any narrations, as the game moves the user directly to a match-up against the computer.
Interestingly, that’s not the case with FIFA 22. The soon-to-arrive video game has a storyline in the load up to the game.

During the beginning of Volta mode, the user gets to pick their own character, choose their own suit and collect some tickets for a Champion’s League game; apparently a semi-final match between Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea. The user will be playing this match all by themself.
However, prior to this match, the character has a couple of awkward encounters with Joshua and Hamilton. These cameos could well have a connection to FIFA 21, where the two world champions were playable characters in ‘Volta Football’ mode.
Along with the duo, NBA star, Joel Embiid and pop star, Dua Lipa, also featured as playable characters.

Earlier in 2020, EA revealed the arrival of the 7-time world champion into the world of FIFA with a rather strong description. Take a look at it.
“Lewis Hamilton is bringing his talents from the tarmac into VOLTA FOOTBALL. He’s won the most races in the sport’s history. And as owner of an incredible 7 F1 Championships, he’s equalled the record – and is now on track to break it. Hamilton will bring his winning combination of speed, control and flair into your squad,” it stated.

Overall, Hamilton does hold a certain level of recognition in Football, having hailed from England and offering his major support to Arsenal. The Briton has even played Association Football in his school days alongside current Aston Villa full-back, Ashley Young.
