Will Smith is one of the world’s most famous actors. The Academy award winner of 2021 is also an avid F1 fan. On top of that, he is great friends with Mercedes driver, Lewis Hamilton. Recently there has been a hilarious clip of the 2 doing the rounds of the internet.

The fans have been enjoying every second of the clip of the 2 together.

Will Smith and the waving flag

Lewis Hamilton has some high-profile friends with the likes of Serena Williams and Will Smith. In a recently resurfaced clip, Will Smith can be seen teaching Hamilton the best way to wave the checkered flag. The seven-time world champion also tried his hand at the gig after getting a demo from the actor. Will claimed to have perfected the art of saying, “Hand first, and the knee follows.”

The fans also seemed to have a crazy time watching the clip with one user commenting Will Smith 2022 Mercedes Seat Confirmed. ” 

Another user wanted Will to pull off something out of an action movie, “He forgot to jump in the air and twirl it around 100 times whilst also standing just centimeters away from the moving object.”

The Hollywood bigshot has always had a thing for F1 with him attending the 2018 season finale in Abu Dhabi.

Rough start to 2022 for Lewis Hamilton

The Britton lost out to Max Verstappen in 2021 in the race for the driver’s title. His start to 2022 has been far from ideal. The season opener saw him struggle with the Haas and Alpines in the midfield. However, some last-minute luck ensured that he secured a P3 finish.

The second race in Jeddah saw him struggle massively and finish P10. The race in Australia was better with him finishing in P4 right behind his teammate George Russell. He currently sits P5 in the constructor’s standings with 28 points.

The next race in Italy is in a week at Emilia Romagna. Reports suggest that Mercedes will be bringing upgrades to the races. Hamilton will be hoping that this will help him close the gap to the front.
