Ayrton Senna and Lewis Hamilton are two of the greatest Formula One drivers of all time. Both drivers have cemented their names in the sport’s history for their driving styles and their never-give-up attitude. The 7-time world champion considers Senna as his racing idol and always emulated his hero.
Interestingly, the current situation of Hamilton is very much similar to Senna’s was in the 1990 season. In 1989, the Brazilian driver had lost the championship controversially to then-teammate Alain Prost. In the press conference for the next season, he famously mentioned that he refused to give up on the fight.

“I refuse to walk away from the fight. It’s my nature to go right to the end, and that’s what I’m going to do. That’s why I’m here and I’m gonna race here and do my very best.
“Deep inside to fight against it and to prove what I’m doing, there is a reason for it. What I’m doing has values and only motivates me to fight right to the end at any cost. Whatever happens that maybe once we can bring some justice to our sport and to our activity,” said Senna.

Lewis Hamilton fires a stern warning to his rivals ahead of the 2022 season
As reported by Daily Mail, there was a lot of doubt whether the Mercedes driver will continue racing after his heartbreaking title loss last season. But at the 2022 livery launch, Hamilton was more determined than ever to bounce back stronger and fired a warning to his potential rivals to watch out for his best.
“I am a determined person and I like to think that while moments like this might define other people’s careers, I refuse to let this define mine, so I have focused on being the best I can be and coming back stronger.

“If you think what you saw at the end of last year was my best, wait until you see this year,” said Lewis.
It is fascinating to see Hamilton being in the same predicament as his racing idol ahead of the 2022 season. Senna won the championship in the 1990 season to bounce back from 1989 disappointment.
