Renault is undergoing a revolution both on and off the track. After hiring their former champion Fernando Alonso, they will start the 2021 F1 season rebranded as Alpine. In a leaked video, we get a glimpse of their new car.
In the short three-second video, we can it with company CEO Luca de Meo speaking in the background. He says, “The image that you see” and then, the video is cut short.
This will be a change from the team’s previous staple colors of black and yellow. The team’s new colors will resemble that of the French national flag – red, white, and blue.

The motivation behind the whole rebrand is to market the parent company’s new sports car division, Alpine. They are continuing to market it perfectly à la Red Bull on social media by dropping different teasers.
For example, on New Year’s Day, they attracted the attention of the F1 community on Instagram through a sneak-peek.

According to reports, Luca de Meo will offer more details on this subject on the morning of January 14, 2020, in Paris. There are wholesome changes in the leadership structure that may be announced on that day.
Davide Brivio, who has been leading Yamaha and Suzuki successfully in Moto GP, may be taking over the reins very soon. He is likely to be appointed as the CEO of the racing division.
What does it mean for Team boss Cyril Abiteboul?

Cyril Abiteboul has been leading Renault as their Team Principal since they came back to F1. However, he may be stepping down from his official position for a bigger role within the organization.
Hence, this could pave the way for his deputy Marcin Budkowski to be instated as the Team Principal. It is just mounting speculation that can get a confirmation on the 14 to show how much of it is true.
