Stroll’s pole position shocked Lando Norris on Saturday. Honestly, no one saw that outcome to the qualifiers. However, the weekend at Turkey has been one big amalgam of all the unexpected moments of F1 this year.
The heavens had been pouring mercilessly at Istanbul Park. Grip was a privilege and control over the car was not at all easy. In such a situation, whatever Lance did was definitely praise worthy.
For the past two weekends, Lance Stroll developed quite a rivalry with Lando Norris and Max Verstappen. His tussle with Max back at Portimao saw a furious Max hurl abuses at the Canadian. However, Lance came back at him in Turkey.

Restricting the Dutchman to P2, Lance turned several haters into admirers. Among them was Lando Norris, the McLaren racer. Even Lando had his war of words with Stroll Jr earlier. Yet, his reaction when Lance steals the podium is entertaining.
With Max having a solid opportunity to go past Lance’s time, everyone thought that he will seal it. Yet, it was not meant to be, and Norris just could not believe it.

Lando Norris and Stroll rivalry may simmer down
Lando Norris was harsh on Stroll earlier. However, he had apologized later on, stating that he shouldn’t have said what he did. The words triggered in the heat of the moment from the contact at Portimao, and Lando did not mean them.
Although unbelievable, the young Briton did not shy away from praising Stroll. His reaction in the video may send out a wrong signal, but his tweet was congratulating Stroll.

The Racing Point driver also turned the opinion of a major critic with his podium. Jacques Villeneuve was a strict critic of Lance. However, maybe all the 97′ champ was asking for was one mention worthy stint from his compatriot.
“Obviously, he feels most comfortable when the conditions are the most difficult,” remarked Villeneuve.
The Canadian Champ had earlier said that Lance does not have what it takes to be in F1. Keeping aside his performance on Sunday, Lance proved he is of worth to Villeneuve.
