Apart from being a Formula One driver, Lando Norris is well known for his reaction videos on his Twitch channel. In his latest video, the McLaren driver jokingly act surprised when Lewis Hamilton took pole at Imola this past weekend.

Norris put in a stellar lap as well, making it into the top 3. However, his lap time was deleted due to track limits being exceeded. Therefore, the young British driver had to start from seventh place but still had an excellent race.

However, the 21-year-old redeemed himself as he took P3, while Hamilton took second and Red Bull’s Max Verstappen took his first win for the season.

Lando Norris pretends to be surprised by Lewis Hamilton’s pole at Imola

On Norris twitch channel where he regular posts content and reaction video. He acted shocked when the Mercedes driver clinched pole position for Sunday’s race.

He said, “Wow! a Merc’s on pole, no way! Mercedes on pole, freaking hell. Insane that, what?! Didn’t know that.”

Norris believes he achieved P3 at Imola solely on merit

The fact that the young McLaren driver gave the Woking-based outfit get their first podium of the season despite starting from P7 shows just how talented he is. While it was a much-deserved podium, the Briton believes there is still work to be done.

In the post-race interview as quoted by Motorsport.com, Lando said, “I definitely would say so, that it is a deserved podium today. If you look at the two guys that have been in front of us, they are the reference in this sport together with their teams at the moment. Therefore, it is obviously very, very good to finish in P3.”

“It’s important also to not again get carried away now with this result, if you look at how quickly Max could drive away in this last stint, then you see that we still have a lot of work to do,” Norris concluded.
