The Russian Grand Prix is here, and there was already an incident towards the end of the first practice session. This time, as McLaren’s Lando Norris was heading back to the pits after FP1, he spun.
Even though it was a minor incident, Norris is hoping to avoid such errors in the second practice session later on Friday. He will hope to get the most out of the Mercedes – powered car and set on a good lap around the Russian track.
Lando Norris spins towards the end of the practice session

As the session was in its closing stages, Norris was heading back to the pits to regroup with his McLaren squad. However, just a few meters away from the pit entry, he spun and taking minor damage to his front wing. Within a matter of minutes, Lando backed up and headed for the pits, where the Woking-based outfit were waiting to assess the damage that was done.
As he was waiting to safely back up, Lando came on the radio and said, “Don’t know what happened, the rears just locked or something.”

How did Lando perform in FP1?
After having a stellar performance last race weekend in Monza, the 21-year-old was hoping to hit the ground running. In FP1, Norris was managed to be the eighth fastest driver of the session.
However, the McLaren driver knows the potential of the car and aims to improve in the second session of the day. Having a spin in the first session will make Lando more cautious.
