Lance Stroll had a rough start this season, and it got worse in Australia. The Canadian driver got into an incident with fellow countryman Nicholas Latifi during Qualifying, leading to a 3 place grid penalty. Further, Stroll was also struggling with the stability of the car.
The Aston Martin drivers have been struggling with the car since Bahrain and cannot bag a single point so far. Even in the Australian GP, Stroll and Vettel were struggling with the cars’ stability. Seb even got retired from the race. The German lost his car’s stability and slammed the 2022 challenger to the wall and lost the front wing.

Further, Lance Stroll was also having trouble with the car throughout the race, but he somehow finished the race. However, the Canadian took his Aston Martin AMR22 for the last spin to check the poor stability of the car before returning to the paddock.
How is the season so far for Lance Stroll?
The 2022 season has been hard on the 23-year-old Canadian so far. But the driver is not the only one struggling, because his F1 team is also going through a tough time. They couldn’t use the strengths of the four-time world champion because he tested positive. The British constructor got their reserve driver, Nico Hulkenberg, to fill Seb’s absence. But Hulkenberg wasn’t much help either.

The Silverstone-based team is currently at the bottom of the 2022 constructors’ standing with 0 points. Meanwhile, Williams moved up in the ranking because Alex Albon bagged 1 point for the team after finishing P10 in Melbourne. Further, Stroll and Vettel are at the bottom of the drivers’ standing this season alongside Latifi and Mick Schumacher with no points.
Stroll qualified P19 in the season opener while teammate Hulkenberg secured a P17. But after the Bahrain race, Stroll and Hulkenberg finished P12 and P17. the Jeddah race also had similar results with the Aston Martin drivers, Stroll in P15 and the reserve German driver at P18. But the Canadian finished P13 while Hulkenberg moved up to a P12.

The qualifying was much worse, as Stroll had a DNF after crashing with Latifi and further received a penalty. Stroll started the race at the very back of the grid while teammate Seb was at P18. But after the Melbourne race, Stroll moved up to P12 but again could not finish in the Top 10. Meanwhile, Seb had to exit the race after an accident.
