Ahead of the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, F1 conducted a Q & A session. For this race, the Alfa Romeo pair of Kimi Raikkonen and Antonio Giovinazzi answered some fan questions. One fan asked them about the specifics of what they like about each other.
Giovinazzi insisted that he was glad to have Raikkonen as his mentor, especially since the Finnish veteran is a former world champion and has loads of experience. Considering that Giovinazzi is still in the early stages of his career, Kimi Raikkonen has been a great influence. However, when it was the Finn’s turn to answer, he simply quipped, “I like your hair.”
Suffice to say, both drivers burst out laughing, as did the listening fans. Giovinazzi is well-known for his long brown luxurious locks. Without a doubt, the Finn and the Italian get along swimmingly and Raikkonen has done his best to help Giovinazzi.

The two drivers have been in great form with a Q2 appearance in Bahrain for both cars. To make matters even better, they also barely finished outside the Top 10, with Raikkonen in 11th and Antonio Giovinazzi in 12th. Admittedly, they have been a bit up and down the order during Friday practice. However, they performed fairly poorly in qualifying, with the Finn in 16th and the Italian in 17th place.
Nevertheless, the two know that the season has only just begun and they will fight tooth and nail in the championship. This season promises to be hugely competitive, especially in midfield matters. With McLaren on a resurgence, Alpine and AlphaTauri looking strong and Aston Martin looking decent, the battle will be epic.

With rain on the horizon at Imola as well, there is a chance that one or both Alfas could sneak a Top 10. Of course, they will have to survive the race in order to actually get to the Top 10. However, the experience of Kimi Raikkonen and Antonio Giovinazzi’s improving form will be a big boon. Both drivers know that the race is long and anything can happen in the next several laps.
