Kimi Raikkonen is known for providing the Formula One community with wholesome content about his family. And this time it’s no different. As the Iceman was leaving for the Turkish Grand Prix, his family didn’t want to see him go.
The Alfa Romeo driver was hugging his son before he flew to Istanbul for the upcoming race. It showed another side of Raikkonen, and fans can’t wait to learn about the family side of Kimi.

Most of the Formula One drivers have to spend months away from their families during a season. So it is no surprise to see them get emotional. As the Alfa Romeo driver was set to leave, his luggage was brought by his son; Raikkonen embraced him before he parted ways.

The video was being filmed by the Iceman’s partner, Minttu Raikkonen shows their son Robin saying goodbye to his father. It certainly was adored by the F1 community, and can’t wait to see such wholesome content coming from the Raikkonen clan.

The Iceman got to spend some family time during the season
A Formula One season does have a hectic schedule. It offers drivers little to no time when it comes to spending time with those who are closest to them. However, Raikkonen got to go home during the 2021 campaign, as he had contracted COVID-19.
The Finnish driver missed the Dutch Grand Prix and the Italian Grand Prix. He was spending time at home and recovering; fans were eager to get an update on his health. His wife gave an update to the world of Formula One.

She filmed Raikkonen as he was relaxing on the couch, and who waved to the camera. She wrote, “Kimi doing perfectly fine. Thanks for your kind messages!.”

The 2021 season will be Kimi’s last year in Formula One. The Iceman hasn’t given an update on his future, but many would assume that he would spend time with his family.
