Romain Grosjean had a massive crash at the beginning of the Bahrain Grand Prix. He was well out of the corner; however, he could not control the car. It was a top speed impact, and the car’s chassis seemed to have failed as Grosjean’s car burst into flames within split seconds of the crash.
The session was immediately red-flagged in the first lap of the race. After turn 3, Grosjean’s car was out of control. The car broke into two and went up in flames. Grosjean leaped out of the barrier between the flames and escaped without any major injuries.
While the whole Formula 1 community was concerned about Romain’s condition, Haas F1 team announced on Twitter that he is out of the car and okay.

Romain Grosjean was saved by the Halo
The Formula 1 driver’s suit is prepared keeping in mind such horrific incidents in mind. The car was out of his control and pulled itself into the barrier, and the fuel box burst open and caught on fire. Charles Leclerc immediately realized that the accident was very dangerous.
The marshalls and the volunteers jumped to the site of the crash, trying to put the fire out and get Grosjean out of the flames. Thanks to them, Grosjean escaped with minor injuries. The session was postponed by an hour as they changed the barrier and gave drivers some time to settle down before the race resumes.
FIA has come a long way to make Formula 1 racing safer for everyone involved. They are continuously working towards ensuring a safer racing environment. The Formula 1 car broke into half, which helped Romain jump out and get away.

Formula 1 has not seen such a horrifying accident in a long time. It is a miracle that Grosjean is okay. He hit the barrier head-on, and it is believed that the Halo saved his life. The car broke into two halves during the crash. Thus, he could escape the fire faster and get out of it with the help of the marshalls.
Maybe a few years earlier, this accident could have resulted in a major disaster. The Halo saved Romain Grosjean’s life today. However, it is reported that Romain Grosjean has suffered minor burns on his hands and ankles. It is reported that he is stable now and has been taken to the MDF MC Military Hospital for further evaluation. We are glad he is okay and wish Romain a quick recovery.
